If you are unwell, or unable to attend, please let us know and we can discuss a Telehealth appointment.

As you get to our front door, there will be sanitiser for you to use before entry. There is a sign at the door that we kindly ask you to read before entry. Please adhere to the Public Health advice regarding getting tested if unwell etc.

We will continue to follow the advice provided by experts and are checking daily that our procedures and practice are up to date. At any stage, if you have any questions, please call on 9519 4537 or on 9519 4913 and we will be more than happy to help you.

All we see at Newtown Hand Therapy are problems concerning fingers & thumbs, wrists, forearms and elbows. We work closely with GPs, Hand Surgeons, Orthopaedic Specialists, Sports Medicine Physicians and most importantly you, to provide the best and most timely care to help you get back on track.

If you've had an injury, we can organise for you to have an X-ray or other investigations, and plan your management based on the results. If there is concern you need more than a rehab program, we can help facilitate referral to the most appropriate people.

    • You'll notice an electric fry-pan and a sewing machine, so if you need a splint or support it will be custom-made on the spot

    Hand Therapy Referrals

No referral is needed for hand therapy/physiotherapy services unless the case is covered under Workers Compensation, Third Party Insurance or DVA. Hand therapy accepts patient referrals under the Enhanced Primary Care scheme for chronic conditions. Please note the EPC program does not cover the full cost of the consult.
